Vintage Treasures

Most weekends, I can be found frolicking around the flea markets, estate sales, and art shows in Southern California. Yesterday was one of those days. I went to the Long Beach Antique and Flea Market with some friends; and we had a lovely time walking around, admiring the people, and finding some treasures for our homes along the way.

When I laid eyes on these american beauties, I knew they belonged in our kitchen. They will not only help keep me organized; but the giant red rose combined with the perfect amount of dent, rust, and distress, is the perfect combination of Vintage Love!

I have not seen these drip candles in ages! They were manufactured by Colonial Way Products Corporation of California. (I wonder if they are still making them?) And I have the perfect bottle to start this project! I look forward to seeing how the dripping, hot wax forms together to create a beautiful piece of art!

A coffee table book on quilts in the most gorgeous color of red is just what this end table needed!

I am a Lover of vintage industrial pieces. I am always on the hunt for a metal wire basket or crate. I Love the way they look in the home and they are perfect for holding my sons' shoes and toys! (Anything to keep this clutter looking pretty.) And I fell in Love with this metal sign. I think it will be so cool mounted on the wall. It is what I call an "Oh nothing!" piece. (To be said in a very sarcastic, non chalant tone of voice, of course.)

My true Loves.
It is my goal and mission on every treasure hunting adventure to adopt and rescue these beautiful pieces of vintage textiles. They are the essence of Vintage is for Lovers. And as I said here, I have big dreams for all of these beautiful pieces of history, art, and Love.
