The Vintage Beach House

Growing up in Virginia Beach, I spent most of my summer days at my grandparent's beach house. From the distressed gray wood paneling on the outside, to the smell and sound of the ocean on the inside, it was heaven; and a place I called home. It is my dream to one day own a home on the beach. But I do not dream of a modern style home on the sand. I dream of a vintage beach house; with perfectly distressed wood that reflects and holds the history and memories that are made while the soundtrack of the ocean plays in the air. And I believe dreams do come true.

  4. This is a summertime swoon. Old beach houses like this always make me think of my best friend's summer place on Fire Island-excuse me while I daydream!

  5. I agree with you -- vintage is the way to go. The little beach homes have TONS of personality. That's the way to live.

  7. I grew up on Cape Cod, four wheel driving the dunes of Nauset Beach, Sandy Neck, and others, so I adore little vintage shacks on the beach like this!
