Merry Go Round

Happy Friday! And as it is the last Friday of the month, {where did the time go?} it is time to jump on the "Merry Go Round;where a group of craftswomen from around the world come together and give their own responses to the same question or art challenge on their blog, and then share the Love. July's question is: Do you take a holiday from your art/craft?

Yesterday we decided to "drop everything;" and head to the Orange County fair! We had so much fun walking around, checking out the animals, and playing on the rides. It was one of those moments, as I was flying through the air, that I was reminded of how important it is to have fun in life. While I try to find the  fun in the daily projects and "to do lists;" there is nothing like the feeling of flight and whimsy.

Whether it is taking a long drive along the beautiful coast of California, taking a swim in a pool, or spending the day at the beach, it is such a wonderful feeling to "take a holiday" from your daily routines and schedules.

For as one of my wise college professors once told me: "We were not born to work."

I Love jumping on the Merry Go Round. If you would like to see how the other, amazingly talented and lovely ladies answered this month's question, please visit their respective blogs! I promise you will enjoy the "ride."

great subject matter for the day too complete with beautiful images. sounds like you had the greatest of days going to that fair. we don't really have anything like that close by so i'm a sucker when one comes to town. taking breaks is crucial, sure am looking forward to getting my Rip van Winkle on this weekend and snoozing mass amounts. have a great one! ♥

  5. You were very lucky to encounter this professor. Some profess otherwise— and not so wisely indeed. ;)
