Vintage Sail

some day hopes

As I sat on the beach all weekend, enjoying the scenery, I couldn't help but day dream, as I watched the boats sailing off in the distance. Growing up, I spent my summers at a camp in North Carolina, called Seafarer. It was incredibly fun! We learned how to do everything from archery to sailing. I enjoyed everything about camp; but what has stayed with me, is that feeling of being free! I get the same feeling when I watch sailboats . . .

Hope you felt freedom this weekend! I look forward to visiting with you and catching up!

  4. wow - dreamy. i love these pictures and boats as well. my childhood included summers at sailing camp on catalina island, not to mention i grew up on a lake. but, we didn't have a sailboat there - just a big slow party boat and a kayak. i love these images. did you take them yourself?

  11. How cool that you got to go to a camp like that! We hiked dunes in Michigan this weekend and there were a group of campers doing it too. It made me happy to know those kids were getting to experience such cool things like that.
