Free Spirit Friday

In honor of all those free spirits, who inspire us to dream a little bigger and live life to its' fullest; every Friday, I will feature products, people, and places that open our hearts and our minds to the endless possibilities of happiness, creativity, and love.

And I would love Free Spirit Friday to be a blog linky party! {any excuse for a party} If you would like to join in, please link up to the permalink and share your post; and please include a link back to Vintage is for Lovers in your post. Lets see how many free spirits we can get to this party! The more the merrier!

Now, let's get this party started . . . .

Nothing makes me want to put on a pair of angel wings and fly around with a garland of flowers in my hair, than the sight of twinkle lights! Here is a wonderful DIY on how to take a custom Bokeh photograph {like the one above} with just a few simple household supplies. You can even make shapes for special effects:

Star Projector
I am in love with this star projector that projects thousands of stars onto your ceilings and walls. {You can even "align it to your location and the time of year, so it projects a map of the clear night's sky all around you."} And with a price tag of only $22, it is a dream come true. {that is until I realized that you have to put the whole thing together with an instructional manual that is pages and pages long. oh well. still totally worth it.} Project!

Restoration Hardware
If you want to keep it simple, these Starry String Lights are delicately beautiful. I purchased a couple boxes the other day and can't wait to put them up this weekend. They come in 4 different lengths {5 ft., 10 ft., 15 ft., and 20 ft.} and two different wire tones {silver and copper}. The 5 ft and 10 ft strings are battery powered, which is super cool. The 15 ft. and 20 ft. require an electrical adapter.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Do you know how loved you are?

  1. Oh, I just love this-my day is so much brighter!

  2. love the star projector and the twinkly lights!!! I was just saying yesterday how I want an outdoor space full of these little lights :).
    thanks for sharing them!

  3. I packed away my outdoor porch this weekend where I'd lay on an old iron bed and look up at the stars. It's getting too cold out there now, but maybe I can bring the the twinkly stars inside all winter long!! Great idea!

  4. Wish those lights from Restoration Hardware were bangles to wear during the holidays!

  5. Love the starry string lights. So pretty!
